POSITION OVERVIEW
S. G. Torrice is currently seeking an HVAC Technical Trainer to join our team. This position is responsible for working closely with our customer base to provide training both in the classroom and on-site, as required. The position requires travel and site visits to all our branches.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct dealer and employee training sessions as directed by the Training & Technical Support Manager.
- Work with the Training & Technical Support Manager to assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive program of dealer training with a focus on product technical service and support.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive program of employee training with a focus on basic product knowledge and functionality.
- Procure and maintain required training materials.
- Develop, implement, and maintain educational materials for HVAC products and services for field technicians.
- Schedule, organize, and facilitate various training courses.
- Work closely with sales and marketing to determine types of training needed and effectiveness.
- Monitor training programs and make modifications as needed.
- Provide product knowledge training to customers.
QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
- Minimum of 5 years field or technical support experience.
- Knowledge in HVAC equipment typically used in residential settings such as air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless equipment and more.
- No teaching or training experience required (although would be a bonus).
- Able to effectively present information to customers and company staff.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to travel between corporate offices and remote branches and job sites as required.
